Tunacado
Serves 1 #STARFineFoods Ingredients: 1 can of tuna packed in water 2 tablespoons mayonnaise Salt 2 thin slices of whole wheat bread 1 small tomato ½ avocado 8 STAR Organic green olives ===== For the pesto: ½ teaspoon fresh basil 1 cup Parmesan ½ cup pine nuts 1 clove of garlic 1 ½ spoon STAR Extra Virgin Olive Oil A pinch of salt Instructions:Drain the tuna. Mix it with the mayonnaise and a pinch of salt.
To make the pesto, blend all the ingredients carefully: add the extra virgin olive oil little by little, as you blend. Adjust the amount of oil to achieve the desired density.
Spread the pesto on a slice of bread and then add the tuna and mayonnaise mixture. Lay the tomato and avocado slices on top, as well as the sliced olives.
Close the tunacado with the second slice of bread. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can add another layer on top to make a triple decker.
