Irresistibly healthy and delicious vegan brownies

Serves 8 #STARFineFoods Ingredients: 7 oz dark baking chocolate (over 65%) 1.7 oz Agreena Shortening, plus extra for greasing 6 oz Natural Rice & Walnut Drink or vegan cream 3 oz white sugar 3.5 oz ground almonds 1.7 oz cornstarch 0.35 oz unsweetened cocoa powder A pinch of salt 3.5 oz mixed hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds (shelled and chopped) --- Supplies: A 25x15 cm rectangular pan or a 20x20 cm square pan Baking parchment Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 °F.

Mix the dark chocolate with the agreena and the milk (or vegan cream) and melt in the microwave or in a double boiler, stirring until it forms a smooth homogenous paste.

In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, ground almonds, cornstarch, cocoa powder and salt.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir to mix completely. Add the nut mixture and stir to distribute evenly throughout the batter.

Grease the pan with agreena and line with parchment paper, then add your batter to the pan.

Bake 20-25 minutes. Use a toothpick to check whether the brownies are ready. They should be set on the outside and a bit sticky on the inside.

Allow to fully cool before serving.
