Flag Cake: Happy Veterans Day!

Serves 10 #STARFineFoods Ingredients: For the cake: 4 whole eggs at room temperature 4 oz sugar A pinch of salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 oz flour agreena to grease the pan --- For the frosting: 8'5 oz butter at room temperature 8'5 oz agreena 24 oz cream cheese at room temperature 16 oz powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract --- For the decoration: Raspberries or strawberries, cut in half, lengthwise Blueberries Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 170ºC.  

Prepare the frosting: beat the butter, the agreena and the cream cheese with an electric mixer until fully combined. Add the sugar and the vanilla extract. Stir well until the texture is creamy. Set aside to chill in the refrigerator.  

In a bowl, beat together the eggs, salt, vanilla extract and sugar until it forms a thick white mixture. Add the sifted flour and fold it in gently until there are no more lumps.  

Line the bottom of a rectangular flag-shaped pan with baking parchment and grease with agreena. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool on a rack.  

Once the cake is cool, apply a thick layer of frosting and smooth it out with a spatula. Arrange the raspberries and blueberries on top to form the pattern of the American flag.
