Super Spicy Super Bowl Chicken Wings

Ingredients
4 pounds chicken wings
2 tablespoons STAR Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/3 cup hot sauce (add or reduce hot sauce by 1 to 2 tablespoons to your desired heat)
3 tablespoons STAR Extra Virgin Olive Oil (for sauce)
2 tablespoons STAR rice vinegar
Pinch sea or kosher salt
Pinch fresh ground pepper
2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
2 cups blue cheese dressing
Instructions
1.
Let the wings come to room temperature (approximately 1 hour before preparation)
2.
Place an oven rack 6 inches below the broiler heat source and set oven to broil.
3.
If the wings are all intact, cut them at the two joints so you have 3 pieces per wing and put them into a large bowl.
4.
Drizzle
olive oil
and sprinkle flour over the top of the wings and toss to coat thoroughly.
5.
Combine the hot sauce,
olive oil
,
vinegar,
salt and pepper in a large bowl and add the wings.
6.
Toss the wings until completely coated.
7.
Place wings on a sheet pan with foil and broil for 10 minutes.
8.
While the wings are broiling, place the remaining sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer for 10 minutes then set aside.
9.
Flip the wings, cook for 10 minutes then sprinkle the garlic over the wings and cook for another 5 minutes.
10.
Brush the wings with the heated sauce and place on a platter.
11.
Place the remaining sauce in a small dipping bowl and add to the platter along with a dipping bowl of blue cheese dressing. Touchdown!
