In a saucepan with two tablespoons of STAR Sunflower Blend Cooking Oil, brown the beef for a few minutes. Remove and set aside.

Brown the onion and garlic in the same pan. Add the sliced carrot and diced potatoes. Cook everything together for a few minutes over medium heat.

Place the meat back in the pan and add the crushed tomatoes and bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour in the beef stock and cook for about 45 minutes over medium-low heat.
