Ingredients
400 g chicken breast
200 ml buttermilk
Salt and pepper to taste
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Plenty of STAR Sunflower blend cooking oil
For the coating
150 g flour
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne or chili powder (optional)
Salt to taste
For the sliders
Small brioche-type rolls
Mayonnaise or your sauce of choice
Shredded lettuce or cabbage
Pickle slices
Instructions
1.
Slice the chicken into medium-sized pieces and set it in the mixture of buttermilk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
2.
Prepare the coating by mixing the flour with the paprika, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt.
3.
Remove the chicken from the marinade, drain it slightly, and dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing it down to create an uneven, crispy coating.
4.
Heat plenty of oil in a frying pan or deep saucepan over medium-high heat until it reaches about 170-175 ºC.
5.
Fry the chicken, submerging it completely and in small batches, for 4-5 minutes until it is golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
6.
Open the rolls and spread them with mayonnaise or your sauce of choice and then add the hot chicken. Top with lettuce and pickles.
